Well Pump Services in Mt Airy, MD
Our Services
Mt Airy's Well System Experts
Private wells are a common part of life in and around Mount Airy, especially outside the town’s public water service area. Our team works with the pumps, pressure equipment, controls, and water lines that local homeowners depend on every day.
Homes in the area can have very different well depths, water demands, and equipment setups, which means the right solution isn’t always obvious at first glance. We take those differences into account so we can recommend service based on the issue you’re dealing with.
Well Pump Repair & Replacement
A problem with your well pump can show up in several ways, and not every issue points to the pump itself. Low pressure, air in your lines, short cycling, unusual noises, or a complete loss of water can all be signs that part of your well system needs attention.
We repair and replace:
- Submersible well pumps
- Jet pumps
- Booster pumps
- Constant-pressure systems
- Pump and pressure tanks
- Well caps and near-surface casing
- Underground water lines
Once we’ve identified the source of the problem, we can explain whether a repair will get your water flowing properly again or whether replacing a part makes more sense.
Well Water Problems in the Mount Airy Area
Private well owners around Mount Airy can run into water quality issues that are tied to the area’s groundwater, land use, and surrounding development. We can help you address these concerns with water testing and treatment solutions.
Some of the most common local concerns include:
Hard Water
Mount Airy gets its water from a fractured-rock aquifer, and groundwater moving through rock naturally picks up minerals along the way. For private well homes, that can contribute to hard water, scale buildup on fixtures, and mineral deposits inside plumbing and water-using equipment.
If hardness is the issue, we can install a water softener to reduce those minerals and help protect your plumbing, water heater, and fixtures.
Agricultural Runoff
With farms and agricultural land surrounding Mount Airy, private wells are more exposed to runoff from fertilizers and other contaminants. That can affect water quality over time, especially for homes closer to active farmland.
If you’re concerned about what’s in your well water, we can test it and recommend a filtration system based on the results.
PFAS
PFAS are a common contaminant found in Mt Airy groundwater, and they can impact both your health and your plumbing system. Since these contaminants can’t be seen, smelled, or tasted, testing is the only way to know whether they’re present in your well water.
If PFAS are found, we can recommend and install a water filtration system designed to reduce their levels and improve your water quality.
Once we identify the problem, we’ll explain the repair and let you know whether fixing or replacing the equipment makes more sense based on its age and condition.
And if you’re dealing with a sudden loss of heating or cooling, we offer emergency HVAC repair in Mt Airy, MD, so you can get back to enjoying your home in comfort.
No Water or Low Water Pressure?
If your faucets suddenly stop producing water, your pressure drops, or your pump seems to be running more often than it should, it’s time to have your well system checked. Electrical controls, the pressure tank, the pump motor, or the underground water line may all be involved.
We’ll test the parts of your system that affect water delivery and narrow down what’s causing the problem. From there, our team can make the repair or replace the failed component and restore your water supply.

They are the best. The techs are great. Rick is extremely knowledgeable everyone is nice. The prices seem high but im sure other plumbing companies are the same. Excellent quality!Posted on Google Woodstock MaryTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had 2 hot water tank(s) that worked together our home to deliver us 100 gallons of hot water, if we were ever to actually need that in our 4 bdrm, 3000 sq ft house. One tank recently failed. So, we began the process of getting estimates and advice on replacement tank(s). We are on a well, the tanks were propane fueled, and both 30 years old. Thirty years has seen a number of changes in hot water systems. Should we go with tankless? Or 1 new tank? 2 new tanks? Switch to electric? Many questions and options. We had four different highly rated plumbing companies come and look at our set up, explain the options, and give us their estimate. We knew that to bring the original system up to date would be a bear, as the old system and it's piping was odd and complicated. Apple Plumbing was the most professional, by far! They listened to our goals, and answered our many questions. Their cost estimate was very fair - and the contract proposal was thorough, spelling out everything involved for the replacement system. (One of the other plumbers wouldn't even give us an estimate for what we requested, but only for what he wanted to sell us). MICAH (lead plumber) and his team mate, MATT, showed up on time. They were efficient, knowledgeable, polite, respectful of property and tidy. They did a great job, and we are extremely pleased we went with Apple. Their warranty gives us peace of mind, too. I must add that their front office representative was very cheerful and helpful every time I called. Thank you, Micah, Matt and Apple Plumbing!Posted on Google Kristi RidgellTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great service! Very fast and efficient. I'm very pleased with everything!! Thanks TylerPosted on Google Diane HussTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tommy and Matt were great.
